1977
In October was constituted the firm " Jose Manuel Rodrigues Roriz", which objective was the transformation and finishing of not ferrous metals. With a capital stock of 1000000 escudos and with only 1 worker.
In December of this year the change to proper installations took place in Lugar de Feijoal, Lomar - Braga and the construction of an oven for the casting of the brass.

1982
Construction of an industrial pavilion with an area of 500 m2.

1987
The fact of the company to bet in the quality of its products, gave to it to a comfortable position at the market level, that culminated with the attribution of 1º Prémio of the Trophy Commercial Prestige.

1988
Repetition of the previously described event

1990
Face to the accented growth of the company becomes necessary the acquisition of more sophisticated machines and the substantial increase of the number of collaborators. In this exactly year the company acquires a land of 16000000 escudos, beginning the construction of the current installations in the Industrial Park Adaúfe - Braga.

1992
Finishing of the construction of the industrial pavilion with an area covered of 3000 m2. Update of the park of machines,

1994
At the 9th February the company "Jose Manuel Rodrigues Roriz" starts to be called "Torneiras RORIZ, Lda." with a capital stock of 1 000000 escudos, divided by 2 partners: Jose Manuel Rodrigues Roriz with a quota of 900000 escudos and Palmira Maria Da Silva Roriz with a quota of 100000 escudos. At 6th October is carried through an increase of the capital stock for 50 000000 escudos divided of the following form: Jose Manuel Rodrigues Roriz with a quota of 90% and Palmira Maria Da Silva Roriz with a quota of 10%.

1998
The company initiates the preparation process for the implementation of a Quality guarantee system, in order to get the company’s certification in accordance with Norm NP EN ISO 9002, as form to guarantee the Quality of its products and services next to its customers.
Acquisition of 2 automatic robots of surface finishing (to sandpaper to polish) in order to be automatic and allow a homogenization of the final product.

1999
Remodelling and increase of the installations for a area of 7 000 m2.
Acquisition of new machines.

2000
The company is audited by SGS ICS that certified that the Quality System of Torneiras RORIZ fulfils the requirements of norm NP EN ISO 9002, attributing to it to the Certificate of Conformity nº 9302/18/23199/10200..

2001
Increase of the installed capacity of the casting section, through the acquisition of a new oven.
Beginning of the transition process from the Quality System Management to the norm NP EN ISO 9001: 2000.

2002
The company is audited by the APCER - Portugal that certified that the Quality System of Torneiras RORIZ fulfils the requirements of norm NP EN ISO 9001:2000.
The company is audited by the AENOR - Spain that certified that the Quality System of Torneiras RORIZ fulfils the requirements of norm NP EN ISO 9001:2000, attributing to it the Certificate of Conformity nº ER - 0005/2003.
Were acquired another 2 polish robots, that allow to carry through burnishing of monocommands. These robots work in simultaneous.

2003
With the increase of the customers necessity of products with greater design, 2 machines of numerical control had been acquired (CNC), allowing, by this way, to work with materials from peg of brass.

2004
Was acquired a writing laser machine in order to more allow our customer a personalized product.

2005/2006
The Torneiras Roriz, had proceeded to the purchase of a centre from horizontal machinery and a numerical command lathe from 8 axles, allowing the possibility to be prepared to develop any type of part (parts with design and greater quality severity).
The reorganization of the existing robots took place by acquiring units of burnishing to increase the yield of the same ones.
In August 2006  the widening of the industrial unit begins with the construction of a new pavilion for the assembly / packing of the parts and creation of new storage area.

Through out its existence TR was acquiring customers in the external market who allowed it to be internationally recognized, at this date.
This recognition was acquired through the appositive in new technologies, design, in the constant search of new models, experience and training of the collaborators of new products and new technologies.
Thus being, the TR are in full growth in the international and national market.
